Thyrian Crystals

Natural occurring minerals mined by the therrinndore. This crystal is formed deep in the mountains and below the surface of Marmidon. More common near volcanoes, this crystal is difficult to procure by most mining folk. The therrinndore used to trade with men, ethrea and atle alike, until their race was nearly eradicated in a volcanic eruption, during the Calamity of year 23121. Now, only traded to the ethrea, these clear crystals of unique clarity are sold at high price as a source of never extinguishing light.

The light they emit comes from a tethered weave. The ability to tether the light weave to this particular mineral was discovered by Durkquire Marks in his youth, year 22843. Tethering is a unique trait that few ethrea can do. It requires in-depth understanding of the item you wish to secure a weave to. If one does not understand the composition of the item, the weave will not stick.
